Blog Post 01/30

This youtube video is a great way to study Japanese because it is of two guys having a conversation in a car. They travel around Yokohama and talk about the sights and things that are going around them.

I personally enjoyed the video, and it was also funny to see them joke around while traveling around the city.

I noticed that I was able to pick up more and more comments within the video. When they were using location nouns, I could pick them up easier. I was also able to understand the likes and dislikes within the video.

 We're back!

Since November, there have been several robberies and break-ins in the Kanto area, with many attackers involved in each incident. Kinuyo Oshio, a 90-year-old woman, was discovered dead in her house in western Tokyo last week, and authorities suspect that she may have been a victim of one of these murders.

Things were pulled out of drawers and tossed on the floor as her home was plundered. Oshio endured many external wounds, including facial wounds, and shattered her left elbow.

The robbers had used zip ties to bind her wrists. Police presume that Oshio unlocked the door and answered the intercom herself, and they don't believe the house's windows were damaged.

Being able to read the article in Japanese makes reading a lot more fun. I had to translate several words but I'm able to pick up more and more terms each day!
